This is a service offered by CRG in which we serve as the employer-of-record for individuals who will be performing short or long-term responsibilities for a client company.
There are three primary situations in which a company may need payroll servicing:
- Given the short-term, seasonal or special nature of the work requirements that may arise, it may be premature for a company to place given personnel on its permanent payroll;
- Companies may want to use this service prior to hiring a candidate directly; and,
- In cases where a company has historically improperly classified seasonal workers as independent contractors (1099), payroll servicing is a viable alternative.
With payroll servicing, the individuals are found, interviewed, and screened by the client company; however, they become employees of CRG for the payroll service period.
